SAT Reading & Writing — Format

The English section of the digital SAT: 54 questions in 64 minutes, split into two 27-question modules (32 minutes each). Scored 200–800 (total SAT 400–1600). A 10-minute break follows before Math.

Critical Notes
Module 1 decides Module 2: strong Module 1 performance routes to the harder Module 2, which unlocks the top of the score range. Accuracy early matters most.
Two-pass system: answer fast items first, flag time sinks, return only with time left. Never trade three questions for one.
Evidence discipline: the correct answer is the one the text supports — eliminate two options first, then pick with evidence.
